Ride Options

Butler County Regional Transit Authority (BCRTA) provides ride options through the following general public transportation services. Park-and-Ride: Under contract with SORTA/Metro, BCRTA provides weekday morning and afternoon connections to/from Butler County and downtown Cincinnati. The Metro Route 42X operates from the Meijer park and ride location at 7390 Tylersville Road, West Chester, Ohio (park in the northwest parking lot alongside the Garden Store at Meijer). The Metro Route 62X operates from the Tri-County Assembly of God Church park-and-ride location at 7350 Dixie Highway, Fairfield, Ohio (please enter and exit the park-and-ride using Circle Freeway Drive only). Shopping Shuttles: RTA offers Hamilton and Fairfield residents and visitors opportunities to access various shopping locations by reserving a trip on the weekday RTA Shopping Shuttle. Schedules vary based upon demand, and customers enjoy convenient pick-up and drop-off locations as well as affordable fares. The fares can vary based upon the schedule but are typically $4.00 for a round trip. Call BCRTA at 513-785-5237 for more information.

Medical Shuttle: BCRTA has been awarded a grant to help subsidize weekday medical trips. Trips for non-emergency medical purposes (doctor appointments, pharmacies, hospital, specialized medical centers, counseling services, etc.) in the southeastern portion of Butler County are available for as low as $5.00 per one-way trip. Trips in other portions of Butler County are available for $10-$20 per one-way trip. The medical shuttle operates door-to-door service and encourages advance reservations. Group Shuttles: RTA offers affordable fares and wheelchair accessible vehicles for pre-arranged group trips wherein the fare per passenger is reduced as the number of passengers per trip increases. Call BCRTA at 513-785-5237 for more information.

On-Demand, Curb-to-Curb Services: RTA provides on-demand, curb-to-curb services within Butler County and limited areas across county lines. Passenger fares are based on the zone of service and the number of passengers making the same trip. Call BCRTA at 513-785-5237 for more information.

Middletown-Hamilton Shuttle:In partnership with the Transit Alliance of Butler County and Middletown Transit System, BCRTA operates a commuter shuttle between the cities of Middletown and Hamilton offering four (4) round-trips per weekday for a $2.00 one-way fare.
